A program on long term studies on biodiversity requires a network of projects on study sites that well represent local biomes and anthropogenic landscapes.
The data generated by individual projects should be compatible and comparable, which requires systematized sampling and an open data bank. In addition, intermediate evaluations of individual projects require pre-established criteria and clear milestones. This is the context of this international workshop.
